This city has a refreshing climate, especially during the summer and spring months, but it does get fairly cold in winter. In the city itself you find the oldest public park called Burgerpark or you can visit the botanical gardens found at the Osnabrueck University. For people who love to take long, romantic strolls, then the banks of the River Hase or the Rubbenbruchsee Lake, which can be found in the woods, will make excellent recreation spots to spend quiet moments.
There is plenty of entertainment here like museums, theatres, cinemas, bars and restaurants where you can enjoy yourself thoroughly. It is during the Christmas season, that this city really comes to life as it hosts the Osnabrueck Christmas Market. During summer there is the Jahrmarkt fair where everybody is in a holiday mood enjoying the warm climate.
