Car Rental & Transportation to and From London City Airport

Airport shuttle buses link with underground stations and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). The Green Bus operates between Canning Town and the airport every five minutes from 06:00-22:00 Monday-Friday, 06:00-13:00 Saturday and 10:00-22:00 Sunday (journey time: approximately five minutes). The Blue Bus operates between the airport and Liverpool Street via Canary Wharf (06:15-22:00 Monday-Friday, 06:15-13:10 Saturday and 10:30-22:00 Sunday - journey time: 25 minutes). Bus no. 69 runs to the airport from Walthamstow and North Woolwich, with bus no. 473 operating from Stratford and North Woolwich.

Taxis also connect with the airport and depart from in front of the terminal building, with journeys to central London taking approximately 20/30 minutes.

If you are arriving by car, the airport may be reached from north London via the North Circular Road (A406), from south London via the Blackwall Tunnel, from east London via the A13 and from the M11 via the A406 (North Circular). It is positioned just six miles from the Bank of England and eight miles from the West End of London, if travelling via the Limehouse link tunnel.

The car-park is located beside the terminal building, and provides ample space. Pre-booking is not required and payment can be dealt with at the automated payment machines located inside the terminal entrance.
