Mini guide to Istanbul Airport
The Sabiha Gokcen International Airport is situated 20kms east of the Asian centre of Istanbul and 45kms east of the European centre. The airport caters for both domestic and international flights, with prominent European capitals well connected.
There are two terminals at the airport and they are situated within walking distance of one another.
You will find four ATMs situated in both terminals, with a bank also provided in departures B of the international terminal. Post office facilities are provided in this area also.
Duty-free shops are located in the international terminal's departures area. Gift shops, bookshops and a travel accessories shop are also on hand. You will also find a variety of duty-free shops in Arrivals at the International Terminal.
As for refreshments, several restaurants and cafés are available in the departures area. The VIP lounge is situated in Departures A and the CIP lounge is to be found in Departures B.
The CIP lounge, located in Departures B of the international terminal, is equipped with a business centre. Telephones, fax machines and Internet are all provided.
Facilities in the Arrivals hall are positioned on one level, permitting passengers with mobility difficulties to move around with ease. Specially adapted toilets are provided in both terminals and lifts can transport passengers to various eateries on the mezzanine level of the International Terminal. Those needing special assistance with boarding should contact their airline in advance.
Two information counters are provided in the International Terminal: one in Departures A and another in Departures B. There is one information desk in the Domestic Terminal.
