Heilbronn:Heilbronn, a town in the southwestern Germany is the 6th largest city in the Land of Federal Republic of Germany. Heilbronn is well known for its wine production and is commonly called as Käthchenstadt which is named after the famous play Das Käthchen von Heilbronn by Bernd Heinrich Wilhelm von Kleist.
It is around 30000 BC the town of Heilbronn was first inhabited. But the first constitution was in 1371 which lasted till early 1803. Since 1970 the town is called as Großstadt which refers to an exclusive designation given as the town has large population.
The town can be reached easily through of 5 major motorways A81, A6, B27, B39 and B293.It can be reached by rail from major stations like Mannheim, Würzburg, and Stuttgart.
The town situated in the northern part of the greater Stuttgart metropolitan area, is completely surrounded by the Heilbronn County situated at a height of 157m above sea level.
The Town is relatively small, so getting around on foot is the best. You also have trams that go through some of the main parts of the town and local taxi’s which are available from 6 Euros but a car is well recommended.
Some of the places that you need to visit include the famous TOWN HALL with an astronomical clock designed by Isaak Habrecht in 1850. You also need to see the famous Kilian’s church, the first renaissance towers in the north of Alps along with more locations in and around the city. The castle in Horkheim is a major attraction.
