Transportation to and From Hannover Airport
Hannover Airport is located to the north of the city and has good links to the autobahn network, with the A352 running north–south right outside the grounds. Rail and bus connections are frequent and taxis are always readily available.
There is a rail terminal at the airport and regular S-Bahn trains on line S5 transport passengers to and from the airport and the central railway station, with a journey time of 12 minutes.
Bus number 471 connects the airport with Langenhagen, from where tram number 1 links up with the main railway station in the city.
By car, approaching from the A7 (Hamburg-Kassel) or on highway A2 (Berlin-Dortmund), take highway A352 from either direction to the airport.
Taxi stands are located at the entrance of the Arrivals terminal and the typical journey time to central Hannover is approximately 20 minutes.
