Hamburg Airport is Germany's fourth biggest commercial airport and is northern Germany's main gateway to the rest of Europe, serving over 70 flight destinations around the world.
Hamburg International Airport has four terminals. Terminal 1 is for domestic and European destinations, terminals 2 and 3 are for both domestic and international services and Terminal 4 is purpose-built for long haul flight destinations. Every 15 minutes, a free shuttle bus connects the terminals and carpark P6.
Each terminal offers a selection of bars, restaurants and shops, the majority of which can be found in Terminal 4. Options include pastry shops, delicatessens and tea shops. Shopping options are plentiful, with leatherware, fashion and accessory stores, perfume and newsagents available.
In terminals 3 and 4, there are ATMs, banks, a post office and courier services. Between terminals 3 and 4 is the airport office ((0)40 5075 1010), This provides fax, photocopying and typing services. The departures level in terminal 4 also provides fax and internet facilities. Further business and conference options are provided by the Hanseatic Conference Centre in terminal 4.
Disabled travellers should inform the airport information desk of their needs (tel:(0)40 5075 0). Facilities on-hand include special washrooms, accessibility ramps and designated parking spaces.
Information desks are located on the first level of terminals 1 and 4 (tel: (0)40 5075 0). Between terminals 3 and 4, the airport office also provides information.
