Dreieich is a city in the state of Hesse., Germany. The city comes under the Offenbach district and is one of the largest cities in the district. The city had its first mention in the 9th century. In the early 12th century a castle and a tower was built in the city. The city had a reformation in mid 16th century that changed the political structure of the city. The city had a surge in population after industrialization in the 19th century.

The city has a good road and rail connection. The A5 autobahn connects the city to the other cities in its line. Also the city has daily train connections to most of the nearby cities.

Situated at a distance of just over 10km from Frankfurt am Main, the city is situated at an elevation of just over 100m above sea level. The city has a population of about 40,000 residents the city has a surface area of about 54 square km. The city is broken down into 5 districts.
