Dortmund Airport handles around one million passengers annually, with a total capacity of 2.5 million. Additionally, the airport covers 44 flight destinations.

One terminal, with 28 check-in desks and 10 gates, handles all flights and is open from 06:00 to 22:00. The Arrivals area is located on the ground floor, while the Departures area is on the first floor. Shops and restaurants are on the second floor.

Money exchange facilities and cash dispensers are available at the Volksbank and Stadtsparkasse banks located in the terminal.

Dortmund Airport offers a variety of shops and restaurants/bistros which are located on the second floor of the terminal building and include the Travel-Value-Shop and Airport Shop.

There is a conference room on the second floor equipped with a telephone and fax machine. A Lufthansa Executive Lounge is also available and provides special facilities for frequent flyers.

Disabled facilities include specially adapted toilets and telephones; access to upper floors is provided by lifts. Disabled parking spaces are also available and holders of aG, H or Bl cards receive a reduced rate.
