Dillingen:The district Dillingen an der Donau is a district in the north of the Bavarian government district of Swabia. It lies to the north of the county Danube Ries, in the east and south-east of the country Augsburg, in the south-west of the county Günzburg and west of the Baden-county Heidenheim.
The district is characterized by the Danube, from the southwest to the northeast over a distance of 27 km through. The river has created a nature reserve today is alluvial landscape with forests. Later, the town of Dillingen an der Donau was taken by the bishops of Augsburg during the 15th century. But soon, the present county became a part of the Principality of Neuburg-Pfalz. In 1506, a regional court was established. After that, the individual rule was waived and slammed shut by the Kingdom of Bavaria. The regional court Dillingen at the Danube was furnished in 1804. Today, Dillingen has finally established itself in the German society.
