Mini guide to Chicago O'Hare Airport
Chicago O'Hare International Airport is 20 miles northwest of downtown Chicago and has long since been in the world's top 10 list of busiest airports. ORD is a major transportation hub within the United States and was recently nominated Best Airport in North America by international travellers.
O'Hare currently has three domestic and one international terminal (Terminal 5). The latter title could be slightly misleading as all terminals offer international flight connections. A fourth domestic terminal is currently under construction.
Transfers to or from airport terminals can be made by the complimentary Airport Transit System (ATS) rail service. It is the easiest and most efficient way to travel between terminals.
ATMs are located in the ticket areas of the terminal. Bureaux de Change are widely available. For postage, you will find a post box in Concourse D near the ticket counters.
The food court provides a full-range of refreshment facilities, with Asian, French and US cuisine on offer. There is an endless variety of services including restaurants, bars and shops throughout the airport.
Duty Free shops, a golf shop, newsagents, leather goods stores and a sunglasses shop offer plenty of gift options in each of the terminals.
TDD phones are available for the disabled and wheelchairs are well provided for. Disabled parking is available for badge holders.
Information is at desks in both terminals, and representatives are also provided to help with orientation. For further information contact the information desk at + 1773 686 2200.
