One of my favourite places to go in Tasmania is Burnie. This great city used to be called Emu Bay, but later had its name changed to Burnie, after William Burnie. One of the big things in Burnie, would be the University of Tasmania, and the ever popular Hellyer College. These two campus are sometimes called the Cradle Coast Campuses. As you can guess, Burnie is known for many things, and one is its amazing ports. In fact, many people come down just to see these ports, which are the fifth largest in Australia. They have many different things that get shipped out, but because Burnie is well known for their paper and cheese making, you can guess which gets shipped out the most..

Another good reason to go down to Burnie for vacation is its large amount of shops and services they have. In fact, they have some of the best shops in all of Australia. However, they are also home to a great art gallery that is worth checking out as well. When people are here they really love to check out the sporting events that take place here. After you go to one of these sporting events you can see the true character of Burnie come alive, and that is why I like to go. You will never want to leave this place because of the friendly people. They make you feel like you belong right there with them in Burnie. Once you get there your family is not going to want to leave, and I know that you are not going to want to leave either. That is the great thing about this amazing city.
