Bristol Airport is a modern airport with a throughput of around 3.5 million passengers per annum, and a capacity for 4 million. The airport mainly caters for low cost, no frills airlines, with Go and Easyjet as the principal carriers, serving cities Europe-wide.
There is one passenger terminal building (open 24 hours) comprising international and domestic terminals with 31 check-in desks and 8 gates. Essential facilities include an ATM, a bureau de change and an auto exchange machine. There is also a first aid room, a baby/parent room and specially adapted telephones and toilets for the disabled.
Leisure facilities include restaurants, cafeterias, bars, a VIP Lounge, duty-free shop, newsagent/tobacconist, chemist shop, gift shop and a business centre equipped with telephones and a fax machine.
The First Badgerline bus number 121 runs between Bristol, Weston Super Mare and the airport; the bus station is just outside the short stay car park. The Bristol International Flyer bus runs every 30 minutes between Bristol Temple Meads train station, Bristol Bus Station and the airport (05:30 to 22:30).
By car from London, take the M4 and M32 motorways to Bristol, then follow the airport signs southwest along the A38 (15kms from the city). The taxi service/rank is located outside the terminal building. There are 500 short-term parking spaces, 7,000 long-term parking spaces and 100 spaces for those with special needs.
