Logan International Airport, America’s sixth busiest, provides domestic and international flight services for the whole state of New England. Located in East Boston, the majority of its regular flight connections are to or from destinations in Europe, Latin America and the Pacific.

Logan Airport has five terminals, each serving several airlines and a wide range of destinations. It is a large airport but is frequently busy and over-crowded; departure delays are commonplace.

Terminal B provides mainly domestic flights for domestic airlines; terminals C and E offer the majority of the airport’s international flight services; Terminal D is dedicated to chartered flights and Terminal A is closed during most of 2003 for renovations. Inter-terminal transfers can be made by free shuttle bus.

Fleet Bank is the main bank in the airport with ATMs in every terminal. Other ATMs can also be found on site, including American Express in Terminals A and B, Citizens Bank in Terminals C and E and East Boston Savings in Terminal C. Permanent bureaux de change are located in terminals 3 and 5, whilst mobile counters are available at international gates.

In terminal A, there is a bar, grill, delicatessen as well as a coffee shop, seafood restaurant and fast food outlets. Terminal B hosts an Italian restaurant, as well as a seafood restaurant, bar, grill and various fast food options. To replenish in terminal C, visit the self-service restaurant, fast-food outlets or the many bars and cafes.

Shopping facilities abound all over the airport. In Terminal C, there are newsagents, sweet shops and clothing outlets, both duty-free and regular stores. Bookshops and sports shops are also available.

The airport caters well for disabled passengers, with shuttle buses fitted with special wheelchair lifts, and wheelchair accessible covered walkways.
