Car Hire Almeria Airport - Mini guide to Almeria Airport
Almeria Airport is one of the main driving forces behind the tourism potential of Almeria province. Situated in the bay of Almeria, eight kilometres from the city, it has excellent connections with the other tourist destinations in the province, such as Cabo de Gata, Aguadulce, Roquetas de Mar, El Ejido or Mojacar. It is the third most important Andalusian airport in terms of passenger numbers, after Malaga and Seville, and the seventeenth among all Spanish airports.
A single, three-level terminal building caters for all domestic and international flights. The levels are designated P-1, P0 and P1, with departures on P1 and arrivals on P0. There is an ATM machine on level P0 of the terminal building.
The airport has a café on each level of the terminal building, and both duty-free and regular shopping outlets are available. Products on offer include gifts, clothing, toys, electronics, alcohol and tobacco and there is a press store. Four tour operators have outlets in the airport to aid with any further travel plans.
Those who require special assistance or wheelchairs should notify their airlines when booking their flight. Specially fitted toilets, ramps and lifts are located across the airport. Designated parking areas are available in the car park opposite the terminal. Both airport and tourist information is provided on level P0 of the terminal building.
