When it comes to girl bands, very few have ever been as well-known as the Spice Girls. This is a group that really helped pave the way for the next generation of girl bands. Anyone who loved listening to their music, knew how meaningful some of their songs were. This was a group that had a lot of variety to what they brought to the table.
Well, it seems what this group has done has not gone unnoticed. In fact, recently it was announced that a new musical was going to open next year that is completely inspired by Spice Girls songs. The name of the musical is going to be, "ViVa Forever."
After hearing about the musical, former Spice Girl Emma Bunton was floored by the news. She said that this new musical should be simply "amazing." However, the singer formally known as Baby Spice, is not giving up any secrets about the story. She may know more about the musical than most people, but she has been sworn to secrecy.
Emma, who is now a mother of two, said that she cannot wait to see the show. The only problem is the show opens next year, and she wants to see it now. Emma went on to say that it should be amazing, and the story is top-secret. She has been in touch with the producer and writers of the musical.
So that just begs the question: Who is writing the story for this musical? According to reports, "Absolutely Fabulous" star Jennifer Saunders will be handling the story for the musical. The next question is: Who is producing it? Apparently reports show that the producer of the musical is none other than the same team behind the hit show "Mamma Mia!" For those that did not know, "Mamma Mia!" featured music from Abba.
Of course, Emma is not the only Spice Girl who is pumped for this musical. Not only that, but according to Emma, all five of the former Spice Girls members still keep in touch. In fact, Emma pointed out that they have been even closer to each other since they have had their families.
Emma went on to say that they have had all of these children now and there is so much for them to chat about. Most of the time the girls just keep up by way of email, but they do tend to call each other as well.
Baby Spice said that they now have "about 10 Spice babies," and the girls love them all. In fact, Emma said that it is almost her son's birthday and there is a very good chance that they will all meet up. Emma also noted that she just loves Harper Seven, which is the name that David and Victoria Beckham picked out for their daughter, who was born last month.
