Enterprise outgrows US Maryland station and opens new facility


Enterprise Rent-A-Car has shifted its operational address to a larger premises in a key location in the US state of Maryland. Due to growing demand for services, the global car hire supplier upped sticks and moved its Hagerstown branch on Wednesday last week.

The company is now located at 700 Dual Highway and is just six miles from Hagerstown Regional Airport. At an inauguration ceremony staged the previous day, Enterprise's regional vice-president, Paul O'Rangers, told attendees both he and the firm's local employees were happy to be be relocating to the new facility.

The Dual Highway premises was at one time a restaurant and car park. It measures 350-metres2 and is three times the size of the old branch office. It incorporates an automated carwash while the car park is sizeable enough to accommodate a decent sized fleet of vehicles.

Enterprise said in a press release the new office was custom designed and the result of two years of planning. Enterprise's Washington DC vice-president said the facility would enable staff to offer quality service and provide customers with enhanced convenience. The office opens seven days a week with reduced service hours at weekends.

Although not a large town, Hagerstown is a key link in the road network of Maryland and is located close to the intersection of the I70 and I81 interstate highways. Hagerstown Airport has direct flights from Baltimore and Pittsburgh as well as seasonal services from other airports in this region of the US.
