Avis wins Reader's Digest Trusted Brand award for New Zealand again


Global car hire firm Avis has won the 2018 Reader's Digest award for most Trusted Brand rental vehicle supplier in New Zealand. Respondents quizzed on the top brands in the country named Avis as their favourite choice in the category for car hire.

Hertz and Avis affiliate supplier Budget both garnered Highly Commended rankings for the 2018 awards. Reader's Digest commissioned Catalyst Research to conduct the online study.

Catalyst's questionnaire asked 1,400 New Zealanders what they thought were the best and most reliable brand names for 65 different categories which ranged from banks and care homes to yoghurt. This is the 19th annual Trusted Brand study carried out by Reader's Digest in New Zealand.

Over the past five years, Avis has featured in every award. In 2014 and 2015, Avis won the Trusted Brand award. In 2016 and 2017, Avis scooped up Highly Commended status before this year's return to the most Trusted Brand.

Bruce Vincer is the Avis country manager for New Zealand. In a statement he said the latest accolade was a testament to the hard work of the firm's service personnel, their dedication to bespoke customer experiences and the motto We Try Harder.

Mr Vincer finished off by saying all at Avis were proud to have been singled out for the 2018 Reader's Digest Trusted Brand award. In previous press releases, Avis has noted customer ratings for satisfaction had been rising steadily and were recorded on the Avis Net Promoter Score.
