Avis car hire has released a news update confirming the inauguration of five new service outlets at the Universal Orlando Park. Avis group public relations officer Alice Pereira issued a statement saying the five rental stations were located onsite at the resort's hotels.
The facilities are located at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort, the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando and three Loews establishments - the Sapphire Falls Resort, the Portofino Bay Hotel and the Royal Pacific Resort. Ms Pereira also noted a sixth station at the Aventura Hotel would be opening in the not too distant future.
Commenting on the launch of the new Universal Orlando Park rental counters, Avis senior vice president Stephen Wright said they were a logical expansion of the group's airport stations. He explained the off-airport outlets would better serve travellers' needs and give them mobility whenever and wherever it was required.
The VP for partnerships and associations finished off with the postscript that the hotel presence of Avis would save hirers time and money in the long run. Universal Parks & Resorts, the operator of Universal Orlando, is an affiliated partner of the Avis Budget Group.
The long-standing agreement between the two entities allows customers to make online reservations for and buy the others' products or services. Universal promotes resort offers and special promos via Avis's online portal in addition to the hire firm's airport booths at Orlando and other airports in Florida.
