FlyBalaton is a fairly new airport located on the shore of Lake Balaton. The airport is quite small and deals with mostly domestic flights. Because of its size and the small traffic it handles, there are few facilities available at the airports terminals.
Nevertheless, the facilities are adequate and include a foreign exchange counter, travel insurance booths, two travel agencies, ATM services and a VIP lounge.
There are several ways of getting to the airport including a combination of transportation modes. The closest international railway station is in Balatonszentgyörgy, 12kms from the airport. From here, passengers can take a taxi to get to Sarmellek Airport. Information on train schedules can be found at: www.elvira.hu.

The airport provides free parking facilities - short-term and long-term - for passengers. Passengers will need to show the security guard their flight ticket to make use of this service.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?
To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
