History Enchants You In Seville

The south-eastern Spanish city of Seville offers myriad historic draws, and a heritage and ambience that attract countless numbers of visitors every year. History may be everywhere in Seville, but that doesnt mean that you will not find a plethora of modern touches in this city. Your days can be filled with Gothic cathedrals, baroque churches, luxurious palaces, and even Flamenco clubs, but your nights will have you dining on tapas and enjoying a cocktail at one of the best nightclubs in Seville. One of the first things you should see in this city is the Seville Cathedral. This might not be the largest cathedral in the world by size, but it is by volume. There are eighty different chapels to see, but the highlights are the historical curios and the tomb of Christopher Columbus. It is only a short drive to the Real Alcazar and you can see the state rooms and chambers that the Spanish Royal Family still uses within this palace. While the inside of the palace is extraordinary, it will be the gardens and courtyards that will pique your attention the most. Maria Luisa Park is an excellent place to stop to take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch, and you will love wandering around the grounds that used to be part of the San Telmo Palace. This park was renovated back in 1911 and now you never know what you will see as you stroll down each path. The entire park is currently filled with tiled fountains, ornamental ponds, and numerous sculptures. Another gorgeous place to take a stroll is the right bank of the Guadalquivir. As you are strolling along the riverside, you will see many of the locals riding their bikes, walking, and even just sitting on the stone walls. Nearby is the bullfighting arena, Plaza de Toros, as well as the Torre del Oro, which is an ornate watchtower. Although there are enough sights in the centre to keep visitors occupied for weeks, it is nice to take a few day trips with a car rental to gain insights into the local heritage, to relax on a beach or do a bit of sightseeing. Interesting excursions within one hours drive of Seville include Cordoba, Matalascanas, Donana National Park and mountains and national parks to the north. Get yourcar hire deal for Seville
