Aren’t you just tired of the over crowded airport terminals where everyone is just all over the place, and everywhere you go there’s just miles and miles of line for the paper, for the coffee and even for your snacks. Just can’t quite get the holiday vacation feel? Don’t fret. There’s an answer to your problem, and yes, it’s right there at the airport terminal, too. The answer is the airport lounge.
An airport lounge is where you can find quieter environment, more comfortable seats, and improved access to costumer service. Before, airport lounge are usually only for business and first class travelers, but nowadays, it’s open and within reach for everybody, no matter what class you are flying on. In Gatwick Airport, there are two available airport lounges. One is located at the North Terminal and one at the South Terminal. You can stay for a maximum of three hours in both of them.
At the upper level of the South Terminal is the Servisair Lingfield Lounge. It’s wonderful for family travelers since children 12 and below are allowed inside, and it’s smoke free, too. Complimentary snacks and drinks are available. It has a 100 people capacity and tickets may be purchased both online or together with your plane tickets. Lounge facilities like wi-fi and internet access are subject to payment. It is open as early as 5:00 am until 10:00 pm and it operates on a smart casual dress code.
At the 1st level of the North Terminal, on the other hand, is the Aviance Executive Lounge. This smoke free lounge is open from 6:00 am until 9:00 pm daily, and unlike the previously mentioned lounge, Aviance do not allow children below 12 years old inside. Shorts are not allowed as there is a smart casual dress code, too.
