The only way to get around the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is by road, as there is no rail. However, the roads are very well maintained, making renting a car with sat nav perfect for travellers.
There is public transportation available in the emirates, but there is very little. There are intercity bus services available in Dubai, which are comfortable, fast and rather frequent. Taxis are also available in some areas, and they are typically cheap in some cities.
However, since the UAE has a modern road system, renting a car is the best way to get around. Motorists should get an international driver’s license, which can be obtained rather easily. Rentals are decently priced, with flat rates per day based on the size of the car. It’s also good to know that this will be a rather cheap way to travel, as petrol is inexpensive across the federation – compared to European and US prices.
The road system is much like those in Europe and Britain, with highly channeled traffic and plenty of roundabouts. Road signs are understandable, clear and coherent in most places, while city maps are also available, but it’s still a good idea for foreigners to get a sat nav system with their car rental. These are particularly helpful to travellers that want to get off the highway and discover some of the nation on their own.
Travellers that want to experience desert safaris in the Dubai vicinity should definitely get a 4WD rental vehicle. Sat navs are a must have with this type of hire as well.

There are plenty of ways to get around Turkey during a holiday. These include by boat, ferry, tram, train, bus, metro and bicycle. However, of all of these, none of them compare to hiring a car with a sat nav system.
Driving around Turkey gives travellers freedom to enjoy the coastline and countryside, where there is plenty of exploring to be done. Road maintenance is rather good, while signage is also good along main roads.
When getting a hired car, travellers need to be at least 21 years old and have a year of experience driving. Also note that most hire vehicles have a manual transmission, and renting an automatic car will cost more. However, there are plenty of big international firms to hire with, including Hertz, Budget, National, Avis and Europcar, which are located in all main cities and at most airports. There are also plenty of local companies to choose from.
For those that are planning to do some exploring on their own, sat nav is a must. By getting a sat nav system with a hired car, travellers will ensure they don’t get lost. However, if they do want to spend some time getting lost on the coast or in the country, having a sat nav with them will ensure they are able to find their way out again.
However, car hire and sat nav isn’t just for travellers that want an adventure, as they are also very helpful for those that want to travel around cities. Turkey is a big country and having a sat nav is the only way to be sure that travellers can get to where they want to be during their holiday.

Saudi Arabia offers several means of transportation for getting around the country. Visiting foreigners can take a bus, tram or train, but the best way to get around is with a car hire and sat nav system.

Although Saudi Arabia has an impressive public transportation system, it’s a country whose people love to own vehicles – much like residents in the US. Roads across the nation are generally well-maintained, making it easy to get around in a car.

There are plenty of international and local car rental agencies in the Kingdom’s larger towns and at international airports. Prices are usually the same year round, so it’s rather affordable. Plus, all petrol stations are required by law to charge the same price for fuel. With hires already so affordable, renting a sat nav with the car will be cheap as well, with some companies offering it free of charge and others imposing a slight fee. It’s always best to shop around a little first too.

With sat nav there is no way that travellers can get lost while they get around Saudi Arabi. These are great for travellers that want to drive around cities or do some exploring on their own. There will be no need for maps or stopping to ask for directions. Sat nav systems have been made more user-friendly over the years, giving even new users easy access to directions as they drive. All they have to do is tell the system where they want to go, and it will guide them the entire way.

There aren’t a whole lot of transportation options for visitors in Qatar. There are bus and tram services, but these offer limited options and not the most comfortable travel conditions. This is why hiring a car is the way to go, and getting a sat nav system to go with it is a must.

Foreigners that do plan to take the better option of hiring a car to drive on their own have to be 21 years old and need to know that driving in Qatar is done on the right-hand side of the road. There are plenty of petrol stations located along the highways as well.

Travellers are able to rent a car with their own driving licence from home, but it’s only valid for the first 7 days of their visit. Those wishing to stay longer won’t have a problem getting a temporary driving licence through their car hire agency.

Costs for car hire can vary depending on the company, so it’s best to shop around before making a decision. Travellers should also make sure that they are able to get a sat nav with their rental, as this will be very helpful. This is because there are some rather confusing roads, making it difficult to figure out how to get to some places.

Renting an ordinary sedan is suitable for getting around most areas. However, foreigners that want to do some exploring will want to get a 4WD car, which usually costs more. Getting a sat nav with this as well is essential to making sure they don’t get lost.

In Oman, visitors are able to get around using the country’s transport system, which offers tram, bus, taxi and microbus services. They can also hitch a ride to where they want to go, but this really isn’t recommended, as low traffic volumes could leave them to survive on their own. It’s because of this that hiring a car is the most efficient and convenient way to get around the country, and getting a sat nav with it will help.
Foreigners that want to drive and experience Oman on their own will be glad to know that road signs are written in both Arabic and English. There are also brown tourist signs that alert travellers to sites of interest. Plus, petrol is readily available, with some stations having clean toilets and well-stocked shops as well.
There are plenty of international car hire locations to rent a car, including Thrifty, Budget, Avis and Europcar, while local agencies can be slightly cheaper. 2WD vehicles are cheaper than 4WD cars, which is expected. There are some things that all car hire drivers should carry with them – plenty of water and a towrope.
Those who want an adventure will really need to make sure that they have a sat nav. The sat nav system will come in handy, as there is plenty of territory that doesn’t get travelled a lot. It’s recommended that these visitors ask before they travel these areas, while having a sat nav system will ensure they are able to get back to civilisation without any problem.

Travellers that want to explore while they are on holiday in Mexico will find that renting a car is the best way to do it, particularly when they get a sat nav system to go with it. However, there are some other means of transportation around the nation.
If a traveller wants to use the bus to get around Mexico, the best area to do this in is east of Mexico City, the nation’s capital. Everything here is pretty organised, with TicketBus ticket information available. However, going west of the capital will seem more chaotic. Trains are very limited in the country, so this can’t be relied on to get around. Hitching is becoming more popular due to the cost of fuel, but this isn’t a recommended form of transportation in really any country for a visitor.
It’s because of this why a car rental is the best way to get around Mexico. There are still advantages and disadvantages, however, with toll roads being relatively costly, but they are the best maintained roads and much faster to use to get around.
Travellers who choose to drive close to Mexico’s borders will likely encounter several checkpoints, but they won’t have any problem if they do what they are told and remain honest and respectful. Note that the soldiers have the right to request that vehicles be unpacked in order to inspect the cargo.
Adventurers that are worried about not knowing their way around should definitely rent a sat nav system with their car. This will ensure that they always know where they are going. These systems have been made more user-friendly and can be used by people who have never even used them before, so getting a sat nav is a must.

There are a few different means of transportation that travellers can use to get around Malta while visiting the famous holiday destination. However, some of these just don’t compare to hiring a car and getting around on their own using sat nav.
So when visiting Malta, there are boat and ferry services that travellers can use to get around – mainly the Gozo Channel Company and Marsamxetto ferry service. There are also regular bus services offered to and from these ferries, as well as around the nation, and these services are run by the Malta Public Transport Association. For a less convenient but enchanting way to travel is on a horse carriage, which is like a traditional cab ride, though these are only available in some parts of the country. The traditional cab/taxi is also available for transport, with Wembley Motors offering 24-hour service.
Although these are all great ways to get around Malta, they just aren’t as convenient and sufficient as getting sat nav with a rental car and going on an adventure in the country. It even makes economic sense to do this, as hire rates here are low. Plus, all the major international car rental companies have counters at the airport, while there are many local agencies as well.
Many travellers may be put off of hiring a car to explore the country on their own, because road signposts can be confusing and local drivers ignore road rules often. However, with a sat nav system these issues become less worrisome, making foreign motorists more at ease with driving themselves. Because of this, those that want a little adventure should skip all the other ways to travel around Malta and just a hire a car with sat nav.

Malaysia offers a number of ways for visitors to get around. Some of these – boat, bus, tram, train and taxi – may seem convenient, but the best way to get around the country is really to hire a car and use a sat nav system.
No matter what country a foreigner goes to, it’s always easier, more comfortable and more convenient to hire a car to get around. No one really wants to schedule their day around bus, boat, tram and train services, while taxis can end up costing a lot when the distance is long. Being able to travel where they want and when they want is what travellers need, and there’s no better way to do this than with a car hire.
When driving in Malaysia, foreigners will find that this is one of the easiest countries for doing so in Asia. The roads are generally kept up, driving standards aren’t too wild among locals and there’s a plethora of new vehicles available. Those coming from Australia and Britain will be able to relax the most, as road rules are basically the same – right-hand drive cars on the left-hand side of the road. The biggest things to worry about are the many motorcyclists and stray animals on the roads.
Though it may sound like a walk in the park, foreigners should still get a sat nav with their car hire. This is the best way to get directions to certain destinations within the country. Simply tell the device the destination, and it will call out the directions as the journey progresses. There is no need for a map, which can be distracting during the drive, while the sat nav will ensure that travellers don’t get lost.

Greece is a rather easy country to travel in thanks to its comprehensive public transport system. Buses offer services to even the smallest villages, trains are available in many areas and ferries allow for visitors to cross the Aegean and Adriatic. However, the best way to get around the nation on a trip is to get a car hire with sat nav.
Although great for getting around well driven cities in Greece, driving a rental car is the best way for travellers to explore. The nation’s road network has vastly improved in recent years, with more roads being paved – especially those in more remote ares of the Peloponnese and Epiros. This means that it’s less likely travellers will need to get a 4WD vehicle. Though it’s important for travellers to have a good road map due to these upgrades, it’s much easier if they just get a sat nav system with their rental car.
Even travellers that are new to sat nav technology will find them easy to use. All they will have to do is tell the device where they want to go, and it will give them step-by-step directions on how to get there as they drive. There is really no better way to ensure that foreigners don’t get lost in Greece, or any other country they visit for that matter. On top of this, they won’t have to worry about looking at a map as they drive, which is really distracting, as most people won’t just pull over to look at it.

Throughout the majority of Chile, the country offers bus, tram, train, metro and taxi services, while most ferry and boat services are concentrated in the south. Travellers can also higher bicycles, but this isn’t a recommended means of travel unless they are just moving around a small village. Out of all these, the best way to get around Chile is to hire a car with a sat nav system.
Being able to travel anywhere, anytime is a liberating feeling for adventurers, which describes most visitors to Chile. Many foreigners that go to this country want to explore on their own, and this is why they should get a rental car with sat nav. This will ensure that they always have the right directions on how to get where they want to go, without having to stop and ask, look at a map or get lost.
There are plenty of international car hire companies that offer their fleets in Chile. These include, but aren’t limited to, Hertz, Budget and Avis. The country also has many local rental agencies. However, in order to hire a car and drive, travellers must be at least 25 years old, have a major credit card or be able to put down a large deposit in cash, and have a valid international license to drive.
Chile offers some great remote areas to explore, and for this, it’s best to get a 4WD vehicle. These are usually more expensive, but it’s always worth it. Note, however, that if exploring these types of areas, it’s best to carry extra fuel, as petrol stations may not be readily available. Foreigners will also definitely want a sat nav with their hire to avoid getting lost.
