Driving in Liechtenstein to take in the scenery of this small, central European country is a great way to go if you hire a car and sat nav kit.  When you get a car rental to travel around Liechtenstein, you will need to make sure that you have a full driver’s license.  You will also need to make sure that you have your passport.  It is also advisable that you keep your rental papers handy, as well as have a first aid kit on hand while traveling.

It is great to known that driving through Liechtenstein is a breeze, as the country isn’t very big.  It is only 4 miles wide and 16 miles long, so it isn’t very easy to get lost.  However, it is safer if you rent sat nav with your car hire, just in case.  You don’t want to take the chance of getting lost and being stranded.  Also, it is important to know and follow the speed limits of the country.  Generally, on urban roads the limit is 50 kph, on open roads it’s 80 kph, and on motorways the limit is 120 kph.

Even though hiring sat nav with car rentals is a great way to go, it is not the only way to get around.  The country has a very efficient bus route, and the tourist-train is a fun way to see Liechtenstein’s sites.  The train takes tourists around Vaduz, a small town, while giving a narration of the town in many languages.  This tourist-train will also take you to the Red House, Staedtle, and Aeulestrasse.  However, it will not take you to the castle, so getting a car hire with sat nav is a good idea to see that.
