Another site of historic and architectural interest is the old Town Hall which is flanked by two lantern towers and has a baroque gable dating back to around the 1780s. The nearby 15th century cemetery chapel of St. Jerrgen also boasts some impressive details, whilst the Gertrude chapel on the outskirts of the city has within its grounds one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city, a modest hospital chapel dating back to around 1420.
