New York is a great state to travel to, and if you plan on flying there, then you can fly into the Westchester Airport (more commonly known as the Westchester County Airport). It is located, of course, in Westchester County and serves the towns of Harrison, North Castle and Rye in New York. More specifically, it's located about thirty-three miles north of Manhattan and nine miles east of White Plains. Because the airports in the New York City area are always so busy, many people will use the Westchester Airport to stay away from all the extra hustle and bustle.

The Terminal

The Westchester County Airport has a small three floor terminal. It has six gates, but they only use four of them at a time. Other than your normal airplane, they use two of their gates for jets. On the first floor you will find a small candy shop along with a number of ATMs. There is a coffee shop and a bar on the second floor in the terminal. They also have a restaurant on the same floor that has a runway view and another place where you can eat called Skytop Restaurant. On the third floor you can go out onto their observation deck, which has views of the runway where you can see all of the planes taking off. Since there are a lot things that you can do at the Westchester Airport, there is no way that you will be bored while you are waiting for your flight.
