Just west of London, in the Borough of Hillingdon, you will find the charming little town of Uxbridge. There are some interesting things to see and do in Uxbridge, but the best thing about it is its proximity to both London’s largest airport, Heathrow, and to the city of London itself.

The Uxbridge Craft Market, held each week at the Pavilions Shopping Centre is the place to come to see an ever-changing selection of arts and crafts presented by businesses from the surrounding areas. The Uxbridge Moor, with its damp woodlands and riverside pastures, next to the River Colne, is a nice place to take a walk and enjoy some peace and quiet.

If you’re heading in or out of central London, follow the A25. Uxbridge also lies on London’s Piccadilly Underground line, so you can avoid the traffic into the city.
