There are limitless options for getting to the United States, most of them by air, and this country boasts more air traffic than any other region in the world. The country is so enormous that air travel is the only practical way to get around sometimes, and flights can be extremely cheap, convenient and regular. The main gateways are Chicago (for the Midwest), Boston and New York (eastern seaboard), Miami (for the south) and LA and San Francisco (for the west coast). All airports have frequent connections to destinations through the US, and excellent facilities and transportation into adjacent cities. The trans-Atlantic is the busiest, the west coast has numerous daily options to Asian cities and Hawaii, and Flights to the Caribbean and Mexico (especially out of Miami) are very frequent, with service to many South American cities as well.

Amtrak is the national train network which crosses the US, servicing all towns and cities, its comfortable and reliable and reaches extensively into the populated southern region of Canada, with regular service to Mexico as well.

Crossing the border by road can be done in hundreds of places along its Canadian and Mexican borders, with crossing to the Northern neighbour being a mere formality.

Ferries ply the waters of the great lakes between the USA and Canada quite regularly during the summer.
