The only thing that Tulum does not have is a bank or ATM. Another note of caution, while a car hire is more convenient than buses and cheaper than taxis, watch the roads. Tope, a.k.a. speed bumps, are commonplace even on major roads and often not marked. It may be wise to invest in the car insurance because road conditions are not often in the best state.
