The city is located in the center of Mosel Valley and is at a minimal elevation of 110m above sea level and has a population of 103,500 spread over 118 square km. The urban area is further broken down into 19 districts.
The city has a good amount of S-Rail and buses. You can also use the cheaper ferries and boats to get around the town. Taxis are also available for hire in most of the roads in the city. Walking is one of the best ways to see the town.
The city is the home to Rheinisches Landesmuseum a historic museum representing the Roman architecture. The other places include the various stadiums in the city and the Tiger museum.
