Cheap car hire in Los Cristianos, situated 15kms west of Tenerife's southern airport of Reina Sofia, is a great way to see this sun-soaked Canary Island. It one of the most popular resorts to be found here, with the artificial beaches very pleasant to relax on and wonderful fishing trips, glass bottom boats, pleasure cruises, ferries to La Gomera and diving excursions from the lovely little harbour.

Los Cristianos normally attracts a slightly more mature holidaymaker compared with Playa de las Americas and so has kept a little more of its quaint fishing village atmosphere and original architecture.

However, there is still a vast array of pubs, shops, clubs, restaurants (including German and English) plus a boisterous nightlife. The AquaPark Octopus, located very close by, is a must for those with children and easy to find with car hire in Los Cristianos. Youngsters will be begging to spend the entire on its countless pipes and slides.

Another short trip by car rental in Los Cristianos is Tenerife Eagles Park and Zoo. Or, if you fancy something a little more cultural for a change, then drive up to some of the picturesque northern towns which have decidedly more to offer in way of traditional tapas bars and period architecture.

And for the active there are all manner of fun things to get up to such as snorkelling, scuba-diving, trekking climbing and deep sea fishing. Not to mention the countless verdant golf courses on offer.
