Stuttgart Airport sits on a 390-hectare site and has around 400 take-offs and landings per day, serving more than eight million passengers annually. The airport is located 13kms south of Stuttgart.
There are four terminals at the airport and all are within walking distance of one another. About 70 airlines offer chartered as well as regular services, with Terminals 1, 3 and 4 handling departures and arrivals, and Terminal 2 managing departures only.
Facilities include ATMs, a bank counter, bureaux de change and a post office. Additionally, there is a lost property office at the airport.
There are a variety of shops, restaurants and bars in all terminals, including duty-free shops and restaurants offering buffet or menu dining. À la carte catering and late-night meal service is available for conference and banquet guests. Other facilities include: a visitors' terrace, Aviation Museum, car repair service and petrol station. Sightseeing flights from the airport can also be arranged.
A conference facility for up to 400 people is provided at the Atrium Conference and Banquet Centre. An information service for flight arrivals and departures, an internet office and news television are also available. A business team can provide secretarial support and the Atrium can arrange hotel bookings, flight reservations and check-ins.
Assistance for disabled travellers is available from airlines and/or travel agencies, but passengers are required to arrange this in advance. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are situated on all levels.
There is a central information and help desk (tel: +49(0) 711 948 2790) in Terminal 1, on level 3 (Departures) with multilingual staff. It is open from 05:00 to 23:30, Monday through Sunday. Another information desk is located in Terminal 4 (the charter terminal) on level 3.
