The Saint-Gervais et Saint-Protais Cathedral and Saint Jean des Vignes Abbey, dating back to the 12th century, are considered to be one of the most important historical and religious buildings in France. Once you have seen the religious sites, then either seek out one of the numerous squares or ‘Place’ in French, such as Place de la Republique, to relax and enjoy some coffee or simple food.
