Sheffield is a vibrant university city with a rich industrial heritage, famous as the setting for the hit movie, The Full Monty. It sits on the edge of the Peak District National Park, providing easy access to beautiful countryside, picturesque villages and historic houses.

Shoppers in Sheffield are spoiled for choice. There are broad pedestrianised streets, up-market precincts and trendy areas like the Devonshire Quarter all within the city centre. Just off junction 34 of the M1 is Meadowhall, a vast indoor shopping centre offering more than 270 shops. If shopping builds up an appetite youll also find a wide range of pubs and restaurants close at hand.
With a car youll be spoilt for choices of places to visit in the nearby Peak District. Just half an hour away is Chatsworth House, one of Britains greatest historic houses, set in 1000 acres of deer park. The 105-acre garden is famous for its cascades, fountains, and maze. Less than an hour away is Matlock Bath, a charming spa town surrounded by beautiful countryside. Attractions here include a cable car ride, caves, amusement arcades and the nearby Cromford Mills, a World Heritage Site.
Most visitors arrive in Sheffield by train and there are regular services to London St Pancras, and the north. By road leave the M1 at junction 33.
