Saudia (SV) is Saudi Arabias national airline with the main airports being in Riyadh, Dhahran and Jeddah. The airports have good facilities with bus and taxi services to the main centres. Flights tend to be expensive from the USA and Europe, but for pilgrimage purposes there are connections to cities all over the world, making access easy to Moslems.
There is a car ferry linking Jeddah to Suez, as well as passenger-only services from Jeddah to Port Sudan and Musawwa (in Eritrea).
Saptco, the main bus company has good air conditioned buses running between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Turkey.
There is only one railway track in the Arabian Peninsula which runs from Riyadh to Dammam. The trains depart three times daily.
