Car Hire Santiago Airport - Mini guide to Santiago Airport
Located on Spains northwest coast, Santiago Airport provides convenient access to this enchanting coastline. Most of the airports traffic is scheduled and domestic, accounting for over 85 per cent of the total. There is also a certain amount of international charter traffic, mainly during holiday seasons, associated with the city's character as a tourist destination. The most popular destination among the scheduled domestic flights is Madrid, followed by Barcelona, Tenerife Sur and Palma de Mallorca.
A single, two-level terminal building caters for all domestic and international flights. The levels are designated P0 and P1, with departures on P1 and arrivals on P0. There are two ATM machines and a bank on level P0 of the terminal building.
The airport has a café and two restaurants on level P0 and both duty-free and regular shopping outlets are available. Products on offer include: cosmetics, sporting goods, delicatessen goods, clothing, toys, electronics, music, press and books. Two travel agents and a tour operator have outlets in the airport to aid with any further travel plans.
Those who require special assistance or wheelchairs should notify their airlines when booking their flight. Specially fitted toilets and ramps are located across the airport. Designated parking areas are available in the car park opposite the terminal. An airport information desk is located on level P0 of the terminal building.
