Car Hire in Santa Fe - Getting to Santa Fe
Santa Fe Airport offers daily local flights to and from Albuquerque Airport, which is better connected to destinations around the country. Though Albuquerque Airport does not offer international service, it is connected to major cities in the southwest like Denver and Phoenix.
I-25 runs north-south through the state, and connects Santa Fe to Albuquerque (50 minutes) and Los Cruces in the south. I-40, which intersects Albuquerque, connects New Mexico to Texas in the east and Arizona to the west. Additional highways connect other New Mexico towns to Santa Fe, with beautiful scenic drives.
Amtrak's Southwest Chief service has daily rail service from Albuquerque's Amtrak station to eastern and western destinations. These services also reach Lamy, with a connecting bus to Santa Fe.
Greyhound has services throughout New Mexico, and operates from the Albuquerque Bus Transportation Center. Several shuttles also depart from the airport to Santa Fe, Taos, Red River and Angel Fire.
