Car Hire in Salt Lake City - Getting to Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City International Airport is 10kms west of the downtown area. It has numerous services to other major US cities and Skywest/Delta flies to other locations in Utah. UTA buses provide a regular service to the airport. There are also shuttle buses and taxis available from the airport.
Amtrak trains arrive and depart from the Rio Grande Depot on the western edge of downtown, with a daily service that stops each way on its journey between San Francisco and Chicago. UTA Trax offers a two-line local service around the city.
Greyhound Bus has connections to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Portland and Seattle. The Bus terminal is just one block west of Temple Square at 160 W South Temple St. UTA buses serve the city and surrounding areas and there are services to the nearby ski resorts during the ski season.
Getting to Salt Lake City by car is easy as two major interstate highways intersect at Salt Lake City: I-15 heads north-south and I-80 east-west. There is also a loop road (I-215) that connects the eastern, southern and western fringes of the city.
