Mini guide to Rosenheim
RosenheimRosenheim is located in south Germany. It is located where the Mangfall and Inn River join. It covers over thirty-seven square kilometres. Most recent reports have shown that the population is over 60,000. The nearby areas surrounding it add to the population dramatically. In earlier years, the city was an important point in most trade routes from southern countries such as Italy and these influences can be seen in many of the homes and other features throughout the area. The nearby Alps attract many tourists each year from all over the world.
A walk through the city is well worth the time of any tourist. Walking tours are offered throughout the city for those who wish to receive some knowledgeable assistance. German and Italian style homes litter the streets and provide a scenic walk through the town. The homes are strikingly similar to those of the Salzach valleys. The municipal art gallery as well as one other art gallery can be visited in Rosenheim. Paintings from many artists can be found here. Near the river Inn River is the Inn Museum.
The St. Nicholas Church was rebuilt in the nineteenth century and was originally Gothic. This is another important attraction found in the city of Rosenheim and is commonly visited by tourists. The Max-Joseph-Platz, named after King Max Joseph I., is another attraction. This square has several large monuments and was finished in the early nineteenth century. The Stadhalle is another common attraction and includes a garden display.
