Car Hire Prague Airport
Mini guide to Prague Airport
Prague Ruzyne is one of the modernest airports in Europe and was designed to handle 5 million passengers per year. It is situated 20km north of the city, and provides a bus-link to the city-centre.
There are 3 terminals at the airport, the North Terminal, the South Terminal and South2. The North Terminal deals with both international and domestic departures and arrivals, whereas the South Terminal 2 serves general and business aviation. Transfer between these terminals is by either minibus or taxi.
A bureau de change is located in the North Terminal, but those scheduled to arrive late at night should exchange money prior to clearing customs, as the main hall bureau de change is often shut at night. Hotel telephones are also available in the North Terminal.
Cafés and bars are located at Pier A and Pier B of the North Terminal, near immigration, and a food court is provided between arrivals and departures. A restaurant in the South Terminal 2 also provides refreshment.
Possibilities for Duty-free shopping exist in the transit area of the North Terminal. Duty-free shopping is also provided in the South Terminal 2. Other shops include book shops and newsagents, shops selling travel accessories and a number of gift-shops and stands. Both lost property and left luggage offices may be found in the transit area of the North Terminal.
Business people will find airline lounges situated in the North Terminal, on the first floor, with a meeting room provided. You will also find three private conference rooms and a press room at the VIP facilities of the North Terminal.
Passengers with special needs are advised to inform their airline of any special requirements, prior to transit.
You will find information desks provided at both Arrivals and Departures halls in the North Terminal.
