The airport is accessible via the national motorway network, making reaching the facility straightforward from major cities in Italy.

From Rome, the A25 Rome-Pescara highway connects the airport with the capital; take the Chieti-Pescara exit and follow the Asse Attrezzato freeway towards Pescara. From the freeway, take the Sambuceto-Aeroporto exit and follow the signposts to the airport.

From Bolognam take the Bologna -Ancona highway (A14) until you reach the escara Ovest-Chieti exit, then turn right for the Tiburtina road. Travel towards Pescara; the airport is located on the left side of the road.

The bus number 38 leaves the airport for the city centre and the train station every 15 minutes.
