Paris – Madeleine
Located in the centre of Paris, Madeleine Metro station is a bustling city link between the Madeleine district and the French National Library. The modern designed station is constructed with much glass and stainless steel, which is contrasted by the use of stone throughout the rest of the building.
The Paris - Madeleine station serves lines 8, 12 and 14 on the city’s Metro network. Line 8 spans from Porte d’Auteuil to Opera, which makes it one of the longest Metro lines, and line 12 links the southern Paris suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux to the northern Porte de la Chapelle. These two lines are some of the most travelled on the city’s network.
The Metro station of Madeleine has public restrooms, smoking areas, small convenience stores, vending machines, and public telephones. Being in the middle of the city, many restaurants, cafes and bars are very close by. The grand and beautiful Madeleine church is located only a short walk from the station.
Situated close to the station are many car hire offices, and arrangements can be made for you to pick up your hire car at the station. Hiring a car in Paris allows you to enjoy the wonderful city in your own time, without being confined to public transport or expensive taxis.
