Car Hire Paphos Airport
Mini guide to Paphos Airport
Cypruss second international airport serves 1.5 million passengers annually, providing access to Paphos, Coral Bay and Limassol. It is the smaller of the town airports in Southern Cyprus, and has limited facilities. The airport is located 15 km east of the city, with journeys to the terminal taking 15 minutes or so.
The one terminal is served by several charter airlines including, Aero Lloyd, Aeroflot, Air 2000, Air Holland, Britannia Cargo, Caledonian, Cyprus Airways, Eurocypria Airlines, Finnair, Germania Fluggesellschaft, Monarch and MyTravel.
You will find ATMs and a bureau de change in the terminal, with the bureau also offering limited banking facilities. Post boxes are also available in the terminal.
There is a small duty free shop, which offers well-known brands but nothing outstanding. Gifts are best purchased before arrival at the airport. Newspapers and reading materials are available at the newsagents located in the terminal building.
The café gets busy and serves only fast food and snacks. Snacks are also available at the newsagent/convenience store, while full meals are on hand in the restaurant and bar. Further facilities include a free supervised nursery, as well as a medical and first-aid centre.
As yet, there is no centre catering specifically for business travellers. Those wishing to fax or check email should refer queries to the information desk in the terminal building.
Special facilities for handicapped travellers include wheelchair access throughout the terminal as well as specially adapted washrooms. Passengers are advised to inform their airline of any special needs, in advance of arrival.
Further information is available at the travellers' information desk located in the terminal building.
