NienburgThe township of Nienburg is situated in the Weser in the middle of Lower Saxony, in Germany. It is the largest city of all the cities in the central regions of Weser. Nienburg is well connected and is located 50 km from Hanover and only 70 km from Bremen.
One of the most premier and impressive buildings in the city of Nienburg, that also forms an important part of the cultural and historical heritage of the locals, is the Town Hall. The parish of St. Martin is also an important place to visit when one is visiting Nienburg. Probably built in the 14th century, it is the major church in the city and has a tower that is about 72 meters high.
The Patrician house Lange 41, the corner dwelling on Weserstrabe is one of the most stunning half-timbered houses in Nienburg. Quaet-Faslem House is another one that serves as a two-house representation in a rather classic style. The structure is now used and serves its purpose as a museum, the very famous Museum of Garden smoking house.
