Car Hire in Niagra Falls - Getting to Niagra Falls

Niagara is two hours’ drive away from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport. This busy airport handles long-haul international flights, as well as connections to numerous North American destinations. Trans-Atlantic flights are frequent, but flying to Chicago and connecting can sometimes be more convenient. Pearson has a reliable and frequent shuttle service into the city centre as well as limos an taxis. Buses depart regularly for Niagara.

Trains are a worthwhile way of traveling in Canada if you’re covering long distances, the scenery is often outstanding, and they are safe and comfortable, though not the cheapest option. Trains run regularly to Toronto’s Grand old Union Station and onwards from there to Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec city and the East and west coasts. Amtrak trains also run to selected US cities, notably Detroit, Chicago and those in New York state (reservations essential).

Ontario buses service local destinations in the province and Greyhound buses also cover many Canadian routes in addition to cities throughout the US, but this cheap option tends to be very inconvenient and uncomfortable over long distances.

Ontario also has Canada’s most extensive network of roads and there are quick routes to Detroit, through Michigan, and New York state. Border crossings are quick and easy.
