Car Hire New York Newark Airport - Mini guide to New York Newark Airport
Newark International Airport, New York Citys third largest airport, was renamed Newark Liberty International Airport in August 2002, in honour of the victims of the September 11 attacks.
The airport has three satellite terminals (A, B, and C) which are laid out in an oval shape from a birds eye perspective. Terminal A serves mainly domestic destinations, Terminal B serves most international carriers and Terminal C serves Continental and Air France airlines.
It is roughly a 10-minute walk between terminals but far preferable is the complimentary monorail that links all three terminals every five minutes from dawn till dusk, and every ten minutes at night. This service also operates to the airport parking lots.
Airport facilities are best in Terminal C, which offers an extensive food court, varied shopping facilities and several sports bars. Choices are more limited in Terminals A and B. Banks, ATMs and currency exchange services are widely available throughout the airport. An attended baggage check service is located in Terminal B from 07:00 20:00 daily.
If you need a spot to relax youll be happy to know Newark International Airport is home to Americas first departure spa in Terminal C. The skybridges in Terminals A and B are also good places kill time, while watching the activity on the runways.
Airport information is available from any of the airport's customer-service representatives, named Red Coats. They can be found in the arrival areas, bus stops, and on the monorail platforms. For additional information call, (+1) 888 397-4636.
