To reach the airport by car from I-310, follow the Airline Highway (Hwy-61) northeast to the airport. Coming from New Orleans, take I-10 west and then the Airport Access Road exit.

Public buses are provided by Jefferson Transit and serve areas in the local district. The Greyhound Bus departure point is positioned on the upper level outside entrance 7, while Coastliner runs nine shuttles per day to destinations along the Mississippi coast.

An Airport Shuttle service is also available, and operates between the airport and hotels in the central business district (Tel: 504 465 9780).

You will find taxis located on the lower level outside the baggage reclaim area.

A large on-site parking garage provides long- and short-term parking. An outdoor car park for both long and short-term parking is also located on the airport property.
