Naples International Airport is located seven kilometres to the northeast of the city and serves destinations all across Italy as well as most European centres. Services are also operated to New Yorks JFK Airport. Regular buses make the short trip to the centre of Naples, while shuttle buses link with the citys central railway station.
The two terminals at Naples are located within walking distance of each other. A bank and a post office are situated beside Terminal 1, which is where most of the airports facilities are. In this terminal building, there are ATMs, a bureau de change and internet availability. Other facilities include a 24-hour lost property service and a Red Cross medical centre, both located in Arrivals.
A reasonable selection of bars, cafés, snack kiosks and vending machines are located throughout both terminals of the airport and the Galleria Napoli on the first floor of Terminal 1 has a decent selection of shopping options. The airport also houses a newsagent and a gift shop near the Check-in area, and duty-free shopping is offered in the Departures lounge.
The nearest hotels to the airport are the Charming International Hotel and the Millennium Hotel. The former is within walking distance of the airport, and both operate shuttle services from the terminals.
A good range of business and communication facilities can be found at the Telelink Internet Centre on the first floor of Terminal 1. Here you can find fax, scanning and photocopying facilities as well as have videoconferences, use the internet and keep track of business developments. Passengers with a disability can make their way through the airport with ease, as there are ramps, lifts and pavements to accommodate wheelchairs. There is also a pedestrian crossing with sound systems for visually-impaired passengers, help buttons located throughout the airport and disabled parking next to the terminal building. Passengers requiring assistance should inform their airline before their arrival at the airport.
