If you are a fan of art, you can spend a day at the Nagoya/Boston Museum of Fine Arts, a sister museum to the one in Boston. Shorter and longer exhibitions of Japanese and European Impressionist art are regularly on display there.

And for sporting events, you will want to keep your eye on the Chunichi Dragons a first rate baseball team, and the Nagoya Grampus Eight, a top competitor in first division Japanese football.
