Montgomery is located in the middle of the southern state of Alabama and has a regional airport, good road access and a regular rail service.

Montgomery Airport offers limited service to other local airports. For direct flights throughout the US and other cities worldwide, you’ll have to go via Birmingham International Airport, to the north. Various hotel shuttles are available to guests, and taxis are readily available for transfers to town.

Montgomery is linked to the rest of Alabama’s road network by the main north-south Interstate 65. Another major interstate highway, I-85, runs east from the city.

Amtrak has two major routes in and out of the city, with the Crescent route running from New York to New Orleans, and the Sunset Limited going from Florida to California.

Greyhound Lines has a regular bus service to Montgomery from various other cities in the state and locations throughout the country.
