Mercedita Airport is a small airport found in south-central Puerto Rico. This public airport serves the city of Ponce and is located 4 miles east of the city centre. These plazas, Munoza River and Gegetau, are home to the “Lions Fountain” as well as historical buildings. These include: City Hall, Ponce Cathedral and Casa Armstrong-Poventud.

Venturing three miles south of Ponce in your car hire will lead you to La Guancha, a busy marina area and boardwalk. From here, you can join a 45-minute boat trip to the beaches of Caja de Muertos (Coffin Island).
